My car transmission won't engage when I put it in any gear...... 03 mits galant

If automatic, could be toast, but at least remove trans pan and inspect filter, wiring and linkage. If stick shift, check linkage and clutch. Either trans could have broken u-joint in half shaft.

Replaced tcm and still wont shift or speed o wont work on 01 pt crusier

Call Chrysler you may have to have them program the trans computer I don't know but it sounds like that. Otherwise check your trans speed sensor it could be the problem

Cannot remove transmission

Did you remove the torque converter bolt's from the fly wheel, should be 4. You will have to turn the motor by hand to remove all the bolt's.

1995 mitsubishi galant will not engage in any gear but park does keep it from rolling. Would this be because of the torque converter?

You have a 7th generation mit galant. These are great cars but they have one major weakness; the auto transmision dies. Generally you have to have the trans rebuilt or many owners swap ion a manual trans. There is a great web site for owner's of the mits galant. http://www.thegalantcenter.net/ lots of great information about galants to include hwo to swap the auto trans for a manual. You want to go to http://www.thegalantcenter.net/forum.php and scroll down to 7 generation section of the forum Galants are great cars; I own 4 of them, all 7g

How to remove an automatic transmission 1992 nissan terrano

the motor and trans must be lowered thru the bottom of the car. repair manual goes into detail . it took me 10 hours to complete with new motor install. remove all wireing harness assemblies and lable.remove cover plate on bottom of bellhouseing ,this gives access to 4 bolts connecting the torque converter . turn crankshaft pully to rotate and access all 4 bolts.remove bellhouseing bolts and pull motor from trans. almost everything under the hood has to be taken apart and disambled.get the book! radiator, exhaust, motor mounts, altranator.powersterring ,wireing harness,cv half shafts. lower the motor with a cycle lift and jack the car up, block and pull the motor and trans out to disassemble. bag and lable all bolts tag and lable all parts and wire connections. most shops charge 600. bucks to do this and its well worth the money. this is a big job

Changing from 98 2.5 man.tranny,to 01 3.9

WOW. You want to put a 3.9 ltr V6 from a 2001 Dakota into a 1998 Dakota with a 2.5 ltr 4 cylinder? And you want to keep the manual trans? Have you considered what you will be using for a fuel and engine managment system? If you have a wrecked truck as a host vehicle then the changover may work. But it will take patience and a lot of work. I don't think the 4 cylinder trans will bolt up but I am not sure - never tried that. However that light duty trans will probably not handle the torque for very long even if it did bolt up. Your local Auto Salvage Yard will have a changeover guide and be able to tell you if that trans will fit either engine. My recommendation is to swap everthing and change that 98 to a 01, auto trans and everything.
Good Luck
Let me know how it goes?
