On the hinge side of the door is a wiring harness... check it to see if there are any frayed or bare wires ... sounds like it is grounding itself out if you find any wrap with a commercial grade electrical tape. if this helps let me know and if doesnt please feel free to contact me and we will work it out

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer and my truck won't shift into park I litterally have to hold the brake all the way down forit toshift

I think this is a safety feature built in to the car. I've had several cars that won't shift unless the brake is pressed.

1996 Ford Explorer driver's window won't roll up

if it was running slow then yes i would say the motor died. to replace you have to take the door panel off not too hard of a job if you have some mechanical abilties. i would look online for the part you can usually get it a lot cheaper than local auto stores

2003 Ford Explorer.....door adjar light won't go off, dome lights stays on unless manually turned off, key in ignation creates a dinging noise.

try spraying the latch mechanism with a spray lubricant and open/close the door many times-the sensor is on the door latch (not the 'button") and it is a common problem on fords as the get older. do both doors, spray heavily, and open/close at least a dozen times or more.

All the windows on my 2003 ford explorer will not roll down. I have replaced the switch on the door and it still dont work. the relay fuse was checked and is good. what else could be the problem?

check the wires between the drivers door and the body, inside the rubber cover(cut the boot with a razor blade) Often from the door being opened and closed many times a wire will break here.

Passanger window very very slow to roll down. but rolls up normally. problem worse in cold weather.

well without knowing what make & model its hard to say but sense im a master cert.GM CADDY 15A/ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN. ive had tons of experence with lots of window problems in 12 years. but i would say that the window motor is just getting week and sense the spring on the window regulator is for helping the motor roll up i would say that thats why it rolls down slow(because the spring is to much for the week motor to push against) or possibly the contact points inside the master window switch could have bad contacts causing low voltage in one direction. ive also seen worn window guide channels(where the window edges silde in the door) causing the window to bind when going in one direction. try lubricating the channel with silicone spray. 3m wet type.

How to replace blend door actuator in a ford

I recently did mine, I hear you can do it without taking the entire dash apart but I had no luck with it myself. I have to get ready for work but, on mine it was located down and to the left of the radio. its a white box...are you hearing a clicking noise or something? I had to roll the entire dash back and it was still a major pain getting it out.

Windows will not operate on my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

window relay module probably went bad. theres a window relay under the dash you have power . try getting a wiring diagram mabey at an auto parts store or the library. so you can trace the problem down . short of taking the doors apart and checking the motors that drive the windows . Old fix with the old school cars bang on the doors from the inside with fist . it sometimes works the connections on the old school cars . Its stupid but it worked to get the window up .
