Question about Toyota Camry

2005 Toyota Camry Sportivo brakes making scraping sound.

Whilst driving our 2005 Toyota Camry Sportivo we could hear a scraping noise when at low speed coming from the brakes. A brake specialist diognosed it as needing the discs machined. Now aproximately 4-6 weeks after having the discs machined and new brake pads the noise is back. What could be causing this noise?

Hi there,
when the noise is heard, try putting very slight pressure on the brake pedal and see if the noise goes away. If this is the case then definitely the brakes have to be removed and checked again. But if the noise is still present then it's something else doing that noise ans further investigations needs to be carried oput.
Cheers

The most common cause is that the brake pads are worn, causing the audible wear indicator to sound a squealing or scraping sound.

2005 Toyota Camry is making a loud scraping sound after driving 15 mins...What could be causing the noise? I took it in to Toyota and Firestone and they couldn't find anything...

Take the car out on a quiet parking lot(no traffic) get it up to speed and when the noise is occuring turn the car to the right and to the left...did the noise go away???
I think on one of those turns it did...if it went away on the left turn the left front wheel bearing/hub assembly is bad and needs replacement, if it went away on the right turn the right side hub/bearing needs replacement. Hope that helps!!
