My clutch pedal started feeling soft, with less resistance than normal. Last night when I started my car the pedal went straight to the floor and I wasn't able to put it into first. it lurched forward and died. I filled up the reservoir and when I went to bleed the line fluid came up not air (I'm not sure if that's important or not). When the car is off I can put it into gear without pushing the clutch pedal, but it will not disengage. I have to rock the car then pull it out of gear. Any ideas?

SOURCE: sitting in driveway parking brake on popped clutch

Hopefully it's just the clutch, you may have snapped a shaft too. If the engine was just idling, I can't imagine it did too much damage, even with those miles.

SOURCE: clutch wont disengage and i can push the car when

That burnt smell is what used to be your clutch disk, and you will need to replace the clutch before you will be able to drive that vehicle again. You should purchase a complete clutch kit for your vehicle, and it should come with a new pressure plate, clutch disk, throw-out/release bearing, a pilot bearing, and a clutch disk alignment tool, and be sure that the pilot bearing is replaced when that new clutch is installed.

SOURCE: My 1994 Saturn SL has

Your interlock switch is somehow installed above the clutch pedal, but I can't find a picture of how it's installed. The switch itself looks like this:
b048505.jpg It has apparenly been slipping and needs to be adjusted. I'm sorry I can't tell you more, as I have never seen this design and don't understand how it works. If you can send a picture of it inside the car, perhaps I can tell you how to adjust it.

SOURCE: Why is there no pressure on my clutch pedal?

my wife had a 1976.5 MG midget... her clutch had something called a slave cylinder that gave her a world of problems... so it sounds like the same thing you discribed and not a pressure plate.. the pressure plate is in the transmission and not part of the clutch peddle assembly.

Clutch pedal straight to floor

If you put the trans in neutral and depress the clutch pedal it should still start.
The clutch is hydraulic, so there should be something connecting the pedal to the master cyl and the slave cyl to the clutch disk.

No clutch resistance on audi a4

This sounds like a common Audi problem but its usually in early shape A3s and TTs. If you heard a snap, then possibly the pedal has broken where the clutch master cylinder connects to it. In this case you can just replace the pedal but it can be an early sign of a faulty master cylinder. If the pedal is ok, it maybe the master that has failed and needs replacing. Worse cases, the slave cylinder maybe faulty or even the release bearing could be sticking on the input shaft. Bleeding the brakes will not help, the clutch shares the same fluid and reservoir but is on a different hydraulic system. The clutch would need to be bled from the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder on top of the gearbox. This can be difficult without the car on the ramp, but is worth trying before replacing parts. What engine does it have?

Clutch problem!!!! maybe wire? need help please!!!

Check to see if this is a hydraulic system, it sounds like it is low on fluid. If it is a cable then it has come adrift somwhere follow the cable from the bulkhead to the transmission, it will be obvious. If it is hydraulic top it up with dot 4 brake fluid and pump the pedal several times if it gets better you have a leak, take it to the repair shop and get them to verify where it is.
