Need just a little more information ... like is the motor turning ovr with the new battery. have you checked the fuel pump (ignition in the run position not running of course there is a test valve on the fuel rail or close by it that looks like tire valve stem just push and gas should squirt out ... no smoking while doing this ..) if no fuel ... bad fuel pump. if fuel check to see if you are getting a spark by pulling 1 spark plug wire from the plug and positioning it close to a grounding point, have some1 turn the motor over should see a spark if firing. if not firing you have a bad crank sensor. if that checks out check the fuel injector relay ... only way to test is to pull and replace. this is all the info i can give without knowing more information. if helpful please rate

My 2006 pontiac soltice has only 50kms on it. I didn't use my car over the winter about 5 months and went to start it the battery was dead,I quess that can happen. I jumped it and took it out for a long...

Sure sounds like the battery. Probably not taking a charge. When you were driving it probably wasn't charging. Make sure you have really good connections on your jump start, that the car you are jumping from is running. You may have to accelerate the car you are jumping from. If you can get it started go to any of the auto parts stores, (advanced, auto zone, etc.) they will check it. They can also check to see if it is getting a charge. It probably has enough juice to run the electronics but not to turn the engine over. If not the battery they may able to indicate what may be the cause.

Heater fan

not necessarily could be something else try jumping the fan with direct current from battery and see if it runs could be in fan switch or could be a fuse causing the problem if it does not run with direct current from battery then it is the motor.

The battery in my 2006 pontiac vibe went dead. I recharged it; however, the setting for the door locks changed. It now unlocks automatically when I turn the car off instead of when I put the car in park. I...

The 2006 Vibe no longer has that feature. It was discontinued after 2005. I have the 2005 so I know how to change it. If your 2006 is able to change then here are the directions from my 2005.
Programmable Automatic
Door Locks
If you have an automatic transaxle, your vehicle is equipped with an auto door lock/unlock feature which enables you to program your power door locks.
Your vehicle left the factory programmed to Mode 4.
The following is a list of the available programming options:
Mode 1: All doors and liftgate lock when the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P) with the ignition on and all doors and liftgate closed. There is no automatic door unlocking.
Mode 2: No automatic door locking or unlocking.
Mode 3: All doors and liftgate lock when the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P) with the ignition on and all doors and liftgate closed. All doors and liftgate unlock when the shift lever is moved to PARK (P) with the ignition on.
Mode 4: All doors and liftgate lock when the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P) with the ignition on and all doors and liftgate closed. All doors and liftgate unlock when the ignition switch is turned from ON to ACC or to LOCK.
To change the mode you are in, do the following:
1. Set the interior lamp control dial to the door position.
See Interior Lamps Control on page 3-16.
2. Move the shift lever into PARK (P) and close all doors and liftgate.
3. Turn the ignition to ON.
4. Within five seconds after the ignition is turned to ON, press and hold the power door lock switch in
the lock position for about five seconds.
5. The interior lamp will flash to indicate that the mode has been changed. For example, if the lamp flashes once, the function has been changed to Mode 1.
If the battery is disconnected or run down, the mode is changed to the initial mode which is Mode 4.
