Check air filter and make sure it is ok! take off hose from air cleaner to throttle body and clean maf (MANIFOLD AIR FLOW) SENSOR. you can buy maf sensor cleaner at any auto parts store, follow directions on can. this should help, if not then the maf sensor may be bad. also make sure the fuel pressure is ok.

I have a 2003 S type jaguar and the battery goes dead and i just got my sound system out I hear a small tick n noise like something is turning on when I drive my car stalling and then I lose power and my...

sounds like you might have some loose wires from the removal of your stereo, which happen to be grounding out and shorting your battery. wouldnt take long to drain your battery if this is the case. your brakes seems to not be working because after the motor loses power and dies your motors no longer is generating any vacuum, which your brakes rely heavily upon for extra brake booster. i would suggest looking for an exposed wire somewhere and tape it w/ electrical tape. hope this helps!

Engine stalls

It could be your throttle position sensor. I had the opposite problem, idle was to high, changed sensor and problem was fixed.

2003 malibu

A heater core is located behind the dash on the passenger side. If you look under the hood you will see 2 heater hoses going to the fire wall again, on the passenger side, your heater core is located behind the hoses. You will need to take the dash loose or off to get to the air box the heater core rides in.

When you open the hood of the the car have a buddy accelerate in park and listen for a vacuum leak this is the likely cause it sounds lik your loosing boos pressure. Also, get a tune up there maybe a list of problems. Hopefully it's not your transmission!
