Question about 2003 BMW 325

1 Answer

On a highway, if I remove my foot from the gas then push the gas pedal again, I get vibration in the rear end. It also feels like going across a rumble strip but not quite as rough. It will last for about 2 to 3 seconds.

You could have a bad U-joint or a bad transmission mount.
If your U-joint have a grease fitting, you could try lubing it. If it does not, then it may need to be replace upon inspection.
When inspecting the u-joint. Look for excessive movement's Look at the condition as to any excsive  rust at the U-joint Look to see if there is any binding of the U-joint Look to see the condition of the transmission mount's and any other bushing to the rear axle assembly
Good luck and hope this helps.

I have a 2004 grand prix, When you are driving down the highway, and you take foot off gas, there is vibration

Hi Cheyenne:
- For the vibration, I'd be checking universal joints or CV jounts.
- Sounds like you've got your brakes figured out already. Time for some maintenance.

I HAVE A 2004 AZTEK AND HAVE VIBRATION WHEN PRESSING GAS PEDAL. WHAT CAUSES THIS?

you don't say where the noise is. that is important to give a clue where the issue is. when stopping on the brakes 3 things happen. you press the pedal and the abs pump starts pumping fluid. the second is the brake capilers start pushing on the rotors to slow the car. the rotors are attached to the wheels and that stops the car. so if the rotors are warped you will feel a vibration in the steering wheel when stepping on the brakes. if its your foot feeling the pump working that is normal for abs pumping. you should feel it and holding the pedal will keep it working and stop you from skidding if everything is working correctly

Thats a good one. Going by what you are saying the vehicle has to under a load in order for the vibration to occur. Best guess would be rear end or torque convertor.

im asuming you are feeling the brake pedal pulseing under your foot, should'nt be to much vibration at the wheel.
most likely the brake rotors are warped they can me turned down at a shop, or sometimes almost as cheap to buy aftermarket replacements

Intermittent vibration coming from engine while a/c running

Change plug wires. Most often, plug wires will only short out when they are under load, so you don't notice anything until your motor is doing a little extra work.
