Question about 2007 Volkswagen EOS Convertible
Button inside car won't work, can't open or close the top, it is stuck open with the whole back end up in the air, the top is still in closed normal position, there is a slight space i can see through between the top of the car and the back window portion, so it isn't in sealed position, front board states convertible top sytem error; it is 80 degrees today and can't use it, not very happy; not even sure if i can move it this way to get it up the road to a covered garage in case it rains; if any body has had this happen or knows solution, please let me know; the dealership just states they have never heard of this
The convertible top on our 2009 EOS is stuck open with the trunk lid up, the windows down and the sliding roof open (but we can get the sliding roof to close again). We have tried the emergency close procedures to no avail. When we restart the car, the message says "Cont. Convertible Top Operation," but when we try to get it to complete opening or close back up, it says, "System Fail Convertible Top Workshop." We cannot drive it to the dealer like it is. Is there anyway to reset the system from home so we can get it to the dealer tomorrow?

My 2007 EOS stops with the truck up in the air, going up or down, when the temperature is very hot. The manual says if the hydraulic fluid gets too hot, you must wait for it to cool. I find this unsatisfactory as I live in a very hot state. I had it in the shop several times, then found this in the manual, and took it in again last week; the service manager at the dealer says he has seen reports of this, but there is not solution that he knows of. I am contracting the National Headquarters this week, and then an attorney if they do not remedy it as I only have a few more months of warranty to work with them....hope this helps.
