Cigarette lighter stopped working, how can I fix it

blown fuse i would say if you havnt burnt out cig lighter unit

The lighter socket or the element.
Check the element for burn marks and the socket for debris blocking the contacts.

check all of your fuses ,a blown fuse might be the problem, the cigarette lighter usually is on the accessories fuse as is your interior courtesy light the fuse box is probably under the bonnet but there may be one under the dash as well....hope this helps ....cheers

you could be lucky and the fuse blew, and it could be a burned wire, check the fuse panel and replace the fuse if blown, if it blows again you have to fix the wires, and possible the cigarette lighter if it got damaged

if you locate the fuse panel it should be marked either # 2-3 or accessories fuse marked on the cover

It is right behind the cigarette lighter itself.

if the cigarette lighter stopped working also then I would first suspect a fuse blown. or just a bad fuse connection. try this first. hope this is all it is because it would be an easy fix.

check wiring behind each cig lighter or use test light inside the socket
