I have a 2003 ford windstar 2003 and very frequently the ABS and Brake lights turn on for a long period of time. I already checked the breaks system and everything is right. I don't know what else can be checked. Need help.

If you have noise coming from the pads sometimes this is caused by dust, an easy fix is to take to the car wash and pressure wash the wheels to remove the dust.
as for the intermittent abs light may be a bad level sensor for the reservoir. which would in any a need for immediate repair, so that real problems will be evident and you will not just ignore the light.

Abs and brake light go on /new brakes 2003 windstar

You should check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and check that the electronic speed sensors are connected and that the tone rings are clean.

While not for your specific car - the systems are based on the same parts and theory - check this video starting at 1:17

Brake light and abs light is on

Red lite comes on at startup to ck. system. If amber lite stays on, ck. brake fluid level and see if emergency brake is partly up. This shows problem with anti lock system if it stays on, not main brake system. If all is ok with this but still stays on Have ABS system checked. Haynes repair manual, 95-2003 Windstar, all models.

2003 ford windstar. All at once, the a/c stopped working. heater blows cool air. O/D on off indicator blinking. ABS indicator light came on.

O/D blinking indicates that there is low transmission fluid in the system ABS light comes on when there is a problem with the ABS system, most times the tooth ring has broken

We had a recall 03 windstar ABS light was on all time we had front and back brakes replaced ford checked said rear axle ok but, light is still on and brakes make a terrible noise and sometimes they go to...

I own a 2001 Windstar. Your noisy brake problem could be nothing more that new brakes being broken in. I have done many brake jobs on my 2001 Windstar as well as other vehicles that I have owned. To prevent this problem from occuring, I apply a thin film of Disc Brake Quieter directly to each brake pad during the installation process. This quiets the brakes during the break in period. I hope this helps.

I get a brake light and abs light at the same time. No other problems noted. This is a 2003 Windstar

The ABS light is coming on because the Red brake light is on. This is the saftey feature built in. The ABS will disable it self if red light is on. You are either low on brake fluid or the float is sticking in the master cylinder reservior.
