Corvette noise in reverse

'05 LS2 4 spd. automatic. Makes a grinding thumping sound in reverse while turning as in backing from a parking space. It appears to be from the rear. Car in excellent condition and not raced. Otherwise the car performs perfectly.

-   I have same problem but both in forward and reverse on '06 C6...dealer says it is new run-flat tires grabbing on pavement...only hear it when turning slowly...not at speed...nothing appears to be binding -   Guest
