If it turns over. check for plugs firing by pulling off a sparkplug wire ands placing it on the motor ... DO NOT HOLD IN HAND while some 1 turns motor over look for spark ... if no spark than most likely the crank sensor went out. if helpful please rate

My 2000 Oldsmobile intrigue wont start it was hard 2 start 4 months and now it wont start

If it is not cranking, you must check for battery voltage, if it is cranking you must check for ignition (spark) and verify fuel pressure and fuel delivery to the cylinders.

Just bought a 98 intrigue and drove it this morning, it has been starting fine and shut it off and now wont start, just a clicking sound but don't think its the battery. any ideas on what to check

Hi to me if the clicking noise is coming from the engine then this points towards the startor motor packing up one thing you can try to get it started is give the starter motor a few hard hits with a hammer doing this sometimes shock the selenoid into working again but dont rely on this lasting long term as it could leave you stuck

the best option is to get the starter replaced as soon as you can

to locate the starter follow the live red lead from the battery this goes to the selenoid on the starter and the big round thing next to the small round part is the startor motor give the bigger part a few taps with a hammer doing this should get it started

let me know if you have any problems

1998 olds intrigue drivers side signal light keeps burning

It happened to my 98 Intrigue. It stopped as soon as I changed the sockets. It is very simple to do this, just pull it out the the plug from the connector about 4 inches from the socket. I got used ones at the junk yard, 2 bucks a piece. Been working fine for almost 2 years.
