Question about 1994 Ford Taurus
Repair broken hinges?
I had the same problem. Leaving the window in a closed/locked position, flip the hinge up that attaches to the glass and you will notice a cast grommet that is perhaps giving you the problem. Drill thru the center of the grommet and completely thru the hinge with the correct size drill bit and insert a bolt. If both hinges broke as in my case and the glass was just attached to the compression supports , I lowered the glass so it didn't break. I had some help pushing and replacing the glass squarely back into latched/locked position and to align the bolts. I also duck taped it to car until the bolt were secure. Please note that I cut and installed hard rubber washers between the glass and the fender washers I used on the inside of the glass.
