Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram for a daylight running light module for an '06 Mustang (4L, convertible if it matters). I have a U.S. car brought into Canada, which required the DRL's to register it here. The shop that installed the module butchered it & the lights have never worked properly.

The Module for the DRL is most likely bad, the DRL Module is squarish in shape and Black in color and would be located in the fuse area or in the engine compartment. Just pull it straight out and purchase another one and re-install. Buying new low-beam lights will not solve the problem, because if your low-beams work when you turn on your headlights than it is not your bulbs. The DRL Module uses your low beam lights, but at a lower intensity than when it is normally on, so if your low beams work when you turn on the headlight switch than your DRL Module is bad.
the daylight running lights are tied into your body control module. in otherwords a computer controls turning them on and off. Not sure if you have seperate bulbs for day light but if you do then you can just disconnect them. Otherwise i would not recommend messing with them. The dealer may be able to reprogram your vehicle but in some states i think it is illegal to disable them. Safety feature!
day time runing light (daylight) when you start the car the light suppose to come on if our daylight on there a problem with the system uselly its the module of daylight or check the fuses if the light works fine when you put them on its not a big deal you can drive like that no problem hope its a fix for you and a fixya for me thank you pierre from montreal canada
had the same problem - the daytime running lights would not shut off. Since I could not find the relay (I later found several on the back side of the fuse box) I put a relay powered by the parking lights in line with the headlights.
