Incase you havent got it yet, check the wire whip under the back of the box under where the tailgate is,there will be a whip that is taped together with splices inside, uncover the wires and inspect them, they like to corode right there and ive done this before after hours of searching

Kit,

Most likely you have a blown fuse. Check the Fuse panel first referring to the owners manual for location and Ampere Rating. I would assume that the same fuse supplies power to both the Dash Lights and Tail Lights. This is pretty much common for many vehicles. If you cannot find a blown fuse then you may well have a defective Head/Tail Light Switch. Additionally, check all Bulbs in the Tail Lights. It may also be a separated connector somewhere between the Switch and the Tail Lights. If you can't find the problem yourself I strongly suggest you contact an ASE Certified Technician in Electrical trouble shooting. Good Luck.

Dash and tail lights are not working on my 2000 ford f250 , what can it be?

I would check the fuses first. As far as the dash, if the fuse is good, you might want to observe the wiring harness and check for a bad wire. Check around the fuse housing to the dash. As far as the tail lights, if the bulbs and fuse are good, check the wiring harness. Check carefully around the bulb sockets. If it checks out, go ahead and check the rest of the wires. You will need a voltage meter to check for current.

2001 F-250 SUPER DUTY TAIL LIGHTS WIRING DIAGRAM

THE TAIL/MARKER LIGHTS, GO FROM THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TO THE REAR FOR THE TAIL LIGHTS & TO THE FRONT FOR PARKING OR RUNNING LIGHTS. ALL THOSE LIGHTS ARE ON THE SAME CIRCUIT, { BROWN WIRE } THE BRAKE & TURN SIGNAL WIRES GO FROM THE STOP LIGHT SWITCH & FROM THE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD SWITCH. NO RELAY IN THE TAIL/PARK CIRCUIT. CHECK THE FUSES WITH A GOOD FUSE TESTER.

No tail lights

look for a blown fuse in your engine compartment fuse box. if you dont find one there then check the fuse panel in the dash under you column. it could be one of the larger feed fuses in the engine compartment fuse box so dont overlook those.

My 1995 Ford f 250 bad fuse problem

look for a short to ground in the tail light circuit. Place a 12v light bulb in place of the fuse. If there is a short, it should light. When you find the short, the light will go out. Looks like the brown wire is the focus.

96 f250 circuit, don't have 95. similar. please rate as fixya if this helps.
