Replacing passenger side-view mirror on 1999 Dodge Stratus

I need instructions on how to remove my passenger side, interior door panel, in order to replace the side-view mirror. Also, if I can get instructions on how to replace the side-view mirror, that would be great!

Watched my dad do it this afternoon. There is an exposed screw on the left side of the door panel and one at the bottom of the panel. There are also two hidden screws, one behind the door handle and one inside the little hole in the armrest (pop off the plastic plugs). There are also three recessed screws behind the speaker cover. You can pop the speaker cover off with a flathead screwdriver. I'm pretty sure thats all of them. You can pop the panel off then, but watch the wires connecting stuff inside. The hardest part is getting it over the door lock. .

Once the panel is loose you have to pop off the black plastic cover hiding the back of the mirror. There are three recessed bolts holding the mirror. My dad had to get a special wrench to get those off and he dropped one inside the door, so be careful (we fastened a magnet to a coat hanger and got it back). Mine had some remote gizmos, so he had to had to unplug the little square thing and then popped off what was left of the old mirror. If your new mirror has a wire with a little box, feed it through the hole and plug it in. Once you have it positioned correctly, you can screw on the bolts and put eveything back together. It helps to have another person there while you are trying to position the mirror correctly. Hope I didn't miss anything. Good luck!

Have to replace the passanger side mirror on 2000 dodge stratus. how do i go about doing this

remove the triangle trim piece on the interior side of door (usually snap on a delicate pry with a flat head screw driver will do the trick)
next remove the (3) 10mm nuts securing the mirror to the door, next unplug the mirror by squeezing the plug connector, pull the mirror of the outside of vehicle. Reverse this order during installation and you should be fine.
Note the mirror may fall and scrath the paint while the nuts are off, keep a hand on the old mirror to prevent from falling during removal

How do you replace the passenger mirror

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and your mirror. Then you can remove the bolts securing your mirror to your door

How do I get access into the inner side of the passenger door of a 1999 suburban 1500, in order to change out the side view mirror? If that is too difficult, can I just exchange the black plastic cowling...

You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Disconnect the wires / cables connecting the mirror to the controller and then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door and it'll just pop out...I've never tried to take apart the mirror itself because the clips holding the backing in the housing seem to break easily

Side View Mirror Installation instructions needed

For a 2005 Honda Pilot, I am a complete Amateur and I had no problem installing this mirror.

1) Lower the window, and only remove the Interior MIRROR panel, NOT the entire DOOR Panel, as some sites my recommend.
2) Once the Interior Panel is removed, the power cable is attached to the mirror, remove this cable.
3) There are 3 Bolts that are BLACK (atleast in my vehicle) that need to be removed.
3) Once the bolts are removed, the mirror should come off easily.
4) Place the new mirror in place of the old one and secure all three bolts, and then secure the power cable.
5) Then place the interior panel back.

That is it!

Side view passenger mirror

there will be a small triaglular panel in the furthest side of your door which despite it being hard to come off will clip off. try to take care while pulling this off as the pins can snap quite easily. then you will see the 2/3 bolts connecting the mirror. once you have undone these then unplug electrics which im presuming from age it has, and you will be ready to connect new one.

This isDennisGladx to offer help.
In theinterest of brevity so this assistance document isn’t too long, I have to makesome assumptions but not too many. First I must assume that you are familiarwith removing the interior door panel.
When thedoor panel is remove you will see a plastic “bezel” (cover) in the forward edgeof the window opening of the door above the hinge area of the door, this can beremoved when two screws holding it in place are taken out. Also remove thescrew that holds the adjuster cable on the bezel (mechanical or electrical). Nextpry off three plastic plugs about the size of a quarter so you can get at thethree mirror mounting nuts (socket is required). Do the reverse to put it backtogether.
Glad to beof assistance
