This problem started out as an intermittent problem where the s light would start blinking after the engine temp was up and wouldnt shift into 2nd gear. Now the s light is on all the time and it still wont shift into 2nd gear. i checked the codes and it has tcu code 7 for shift control solenoid valve A I visually checked the wiring and did not see any signs of damaged wires. then i found my positive battery cable was loose so i just diconnected the battery for about 10 mins and tightened the connections back up. this cleared the code and i didnt have a problem for another day or 2. now the light just stays on constantky and will not shift into 2nd gear. I know the trans has the shift solenoid cluster and the lockup solenoid cluster. is the bottom cluster the shift solenoid and which solenoid is for 2nd gear. I will probably check these solenoids to see if there working properly. does anyone have any other ideas or advice?
