If the fuel pump(s) run while the pressure is falling, replace the fuel pressure regulator and (although I'm sure you've already done this), replace the fuel filter. If the fuel pumps appear to be turning off by themselves, replace the inertia (fuel cutoff) switch.

TBI system, injectors will not spray fuel into the system. What do I need to do?

Turn your ignition switch on and listen for the fuel pump you should here it for 2 seconds then check your fuel pressure. If can't here the pump cut on then cut off or you don't have any fuel pressure then your pump is bad.Fuel pressure should be 9-13 psi with engine running.

I have an 89 chevy 1 ton dualy and converting the tbi to an edlebrock 750 and need to know wich fuel line is supply and wich is return and if it is a vacume advance or not

The larger diameter fuel line is the fuel supply line, and the smaller diameter fuel line is the fuel return line. The distributor for that vehicle should have no vacuum advance on it, and the distributor should look like the one in the image below.

The fuel pressure for that carburetor (or for any other carburetor) should be around 7 psi only, and if the fuel pressure exceeds more than 10 psi it will start to push the fuel past the needle and seat and it will flood the engine. If you are going to use the same fuel pump that was used for the TBI then you will need to install a fuel pressure regulator, preferably one with a fuel gauge, and set it for 7 psi.

Of course you do know that the vehicle will never pass an emission test once you have converted it over to carburetion, and the MIL (Malfunction Idicator Light) or "check engine light" will most likely be on constantly. Let me know if you require any further assistance.

What is the ideal operating fuel pressure for an 89 Corvette w/ LT-1 TPI

The 5.0L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.05 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 18.13 lbs per hr at approximately 36 PSI. The 5.7L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.83 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 23.92 lbs per hr at approximately 43.5 PSI. This information is typical for all manufacturers and flow rates will vary slightly even between identicle injectors.
Good luck and hope this helps.

check the fuel pressure to see if fuel pump is working
change the fuel filter if fuel pressure too low for the injectors.
