Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

2 Answers

I can't change the time of the clock on the Hyundai 50645P CD player/AM FM clock. There is no information in the Sante Fe manual. Any advice?

I cannot change the time on the clock setting on my Hyundai 50645P cd player/am fm radio. Can you help me with this please. All of the buttons control the radio settings, but I am unable to change the time on the clock and it is annoying that the time is 20 minutes different from my Sante Fe's digital clock radio above it. I have looked in the Manual for my 2004 Sante Fe, but there is no information for the clock radio. Liz Pickard

Try this, put the key in the ignition and let it be on the first turn right marked "ACC" or you can turn off the stereo and you will notice that only the Digital Clock screen will show. Turn the Volume/Audio/Sel knob and press on the "DISP" button simultaneously for about 4 seconds then release the "DISP" button. The digital clock will start blinking, and then use the Tune/Seek arrows pointing up and down to change the time. If the hour digit is blinking change the hour and after you have changed it press "DISP" then the minute digit will start to blink change it using the arrows, when you are done press "DISP" again or leave the clock for between 4 to 8 seconds the clock will start working normally.

I hope this works for you.

Good luck!

Junk yard or Hyundai Parts Department at a Hyundai dealership. I'm sure you can find either in the Yellow Pages.

04 Santa Fe Issues

I would look for a ground that is inadequate.
If any part of this is operating essentially without shielding due to a bad ground, then cell towers, a radio or TV station transmitter, CBs, land mobile radio, amateur radio - any of these can inject enough signal to drive modern electronics completely bananas.
The onboard electronics used for just about everything that is remotely controlled by switches generates a ton of digital garbage and can interfere with anything.

The kind of problem you are experiencing started when we stopped using vacuum tubes 50 years ago operating at high voltages and started using semiconductors that use much lower voltages.

A tech with a common multimeter should be able to locate the missing ground connection without too much trouble.
