Bank one of the engine is on the passenger side of the car. From the front, its 1,2, & 3 and on Bank 2 which is the driver's side, from the front, it 4,5, & 6.

I have a 2004 Audi A6 wagon that has only 35,000 miles. While the recommended number of miles is 75,000, the dealer is recommending a change of belt as the age of the car is over six years. The cost is...

On the user's manual it normally states the mileage you need to have it replaced and the number of years whichever comes first. Consult your manual for the years. If the manual is consistent with the mechanic then it is recommended to have it replaced. This is a crucial part of the engine which is the reason I as well recommend it to be replaced.

Im working on a ford ranger 2002 with the v6. i just need to see a pic of the piston order and the coil pack order. im getting codes for 4..5..6 missfire but im not sure witch ones they are

Cylinders 1,2 and 3 are the cylinders on the passenger side and cylinders 4,5 and 6 are the cylinders on the driver's side. They are numbered front to rear. The coil pack will have the cylinder numbers marked on the top of it. The actual firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6
The top of your coil should look like this:
1 2 3
5 6 4

Your engine looks like this:
1 2 3
FRONT OF ENGINE
4 5 6

The numbers to the cylinders are on the coil packs. Standing on the passenger side of the car looking at the engine, the right side is 1, 3, 5 cylinders. On the left is 2, 4, 6 cylinders. Put the correct number cylinder plug wire on the correct number coil pack. The 1,3,5 cylinder plug wires will go on the right side of the coil pack, and the 2,4,6 will go on the left. They will not be in order on the coil pack, so double check the cylinder number.

Need to replace sparkplug wires.I had my plug wires ripped out of my car now I need to replace them in the right firing order.

The 3800 after 1984 is 'distributorless' so you have six "firing coils" located on the front of the engine and numbered for your convenience. looking at the 'front' of the engine which is where all the pulleys and the serpentine belt is viewing from the passenger side fender, the cylinders are numbered #1 on your right then #2 on your left and alternate right left from front to rear of the motor to connect your wires.

2004 Audi A4 misfire

it is always a good idea to stay with o.e.m parts and yes there is updated parts in the newer coils. and yes the M.A.F will also cause misfire faults but will not make check engine light flash or make car shake and shudder. also check you wire harness going to your coils make sure your ground wires are not cracked. That could be the main culprate. good luck hope this helps
