With this type of electrical problem, as with many...The first thing you look for is a bad ground. Start with negative cable from battery. Follow it down to the frame. Make sure the connections are tight, clean, and undamaged. make sure you have a ground from: Bat to frame, bat to engine, engine to frame.Next, ck your Positive connection at the starter, as well as the solenoid (smaller wire) Take your multimeter and connect to your positive for voltage drop while trying to crank.

Post back.....let us know

My 92 lincoln town car will not start i have replaced the starter, the neutral safety switch and the battery but when i turn key nothing happens but can jump starter and will crank

Yes there is a starter relay in the wiring diagram.
The yellow and lite blue wire goes from the starter solenoid to the relay. There is a yellow wire from the relay to a 30amp fuse. The key switch powers thru the neutral safety switch and then powers the relay on.

Engine will not crank

Have you checked the battery for 12 volts ?
Cables clean and tight ?
There is a neutral safety switch between the key switch and the starter. You might try cranking it in neutral instead of park.
Otherwise you will need to check for voltage at the starter and work back to the battery.

Power loss on 2003 Lincoln Town Car

make sure to try in neutral and see what happend also make sure you don't have an afetrmarket alarm they will keep you starter from working and finally have someone to top on the starter while you step on the brake and while you hold the key all teh way in like when you are cranking and if it crancks then your starter must to be replaced
also not matter how the batterie looks laways try a jump start to it
