Have you checked the Fuel Pressure Tst Point for Fuel Pressure?

    PRECAUTIONS

    WARNING:

    • PLACE "NO SMOKING" SIGNS NEAR THE WORKING AREA.
    • DISCONNECT GROUND TERMINAL FROM BATTERY.
    • BE CAREFUL NOT TO SPILL FUEL ON THE FLOOR.

    MEASUREMENT OF FUEL PRESSURE

WARNING: BEFORE REMOVING FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE, RELEASE FUEL PRESSURE.

NOTE: If out of specification, check or replace pressure regulator and pressure regulator vacuum hose.

    1)
    Release fuel pressure.

    2)
Open fuel flap lid, and remove fuel filler cap.

    3)
Disconnect fuel delivery hoses from fuel filter, and connect fuel pressure gauge.

    4)
Connect connector of fuel pump relay.

    5)
    Start the engine.

    6)
Measure fuel pressure while disconnecting pressure regulator vacuum hose from intake manifold.
    Fuel pressure:
    Standard: 284 - 314 kPa (2.9 - 3.2 kg/cm2, 41 ±46 psi)

    7)
After connecting pressure regulator vacuum hose, measure fuel pressure.
    Fuel pressure:
    Standard: 206 - 235 kPa (2.1 - 2.4 kg/cm2, 30 - 34 psi)
NOTE: The fuel pressure gauge registers 10 to 20 kPa (0.1 to 0.2 kg/cm2, 1 to 3 psi) higher than standard values during high-altitude operations.
this test Works WITHOUT STARTING ENGINE

Just Cycle Ignition Key to ON posiyion then OFF 4-6 times to Pump up MAX Pressure

Just checking, but did you install it with the arrow pointing to the engine? Take it off and try blowing through it, if you can't then it's plugged up and you need to get another. If you can blow through it, then it's something else.

Did you install the filter the correct direction some only allow fuel flow in one direction, or the increased fuel flow because the filter was no longer plugged may have sent more dirt and rust into the new filter clogging it

This sounds more like a crankshaft position sensor. When they start going bad they will work when vehicle relatively cold but fail when hot.

Hope this helps, it it does please leave feedback and vote Thank You and Good Luck

If the engine is turning over and it still wont start try shooting a little starting fluid in the air cleaner to see if it will run .. if so your fuel pump is either bad or the fuel filter is getting dirty.. thanks and holler if you need more Jerry
