You need to replace the flasher relay. it is located in the fuse box under the dash or it may be a stand alone relay under the dash as well.... easiest way to find it is to turn on the flashers... put your finger on top of each relay till you find the one that's clicking. there is a possibilty that it is the flasher switch tho.... but as relays are relatively inexpensive try replacing it first to see if that fixes it.

The hazard back lights wont quit blinking when car is running even when i pull the fuse on a 2002 buick regal

What fuse are you pulling ?

Hazard Lamps
The hazard warning switch is part of the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch receives battery voltage at all times through the HAZARD SWITCH Fuse. When the hazard switch is placed in the HAZARD position, battery voltage is applied to the hazard lamp/turn signal lamp flasher. The hazard lamp/turn signal lamp flasher sends a turn signal flasher signal to the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch provides all of the turn lamps and turn indicators with the turn signal flasher signal, simultaneously flashing them on and off.

Turn Signal Lamps
The front turn signal lamps are made up of the front park/turn signal lamps and rear turn signal lamps. The front turn signal lamps flash with the rear turn signal lamps when a turn is initiated using the turn signal/multifunction lever. The turn signals will operate only with the ignition switch in the RUN position and will not operate during hazard flasher operation.
When the ignition is turned to the RUN position, battery voltage is supplied to the TURN SIGNAL Fuse. Battery voltage is then applied through the turn signal fuse circuit to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch is placed in the LH or RH position, voltage is supplied to the hazard lamp/turn signal lamp flasher. The hazard lamp/turn signal lamp flasher supplies a turn signal flasher signal to the turn signal switch. With the turn signal switch in the LH or RH position the corresponding turn signal indicator, rear turn signal, and front turn signal receive the turn signal switch signal and will flash. The front turn signals receive the turn signal switch signal from the turn signal switch via the BCM. The turn lamps are permanently grounded.

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Emergency flasher switch

The Hazard Warning flasher switch is located in the center of the instrument panel above the radio. Press the switch to turn on the Hazard Warning flasher. When the switch is activated, all directional turn signals will flash on and off to warn oncoming traffic of an emergency. Press the switch a second time to turn off the Hazard Warning flasher. This is an emergency warning system and should not be used when the vehicle is in motion. Use it when your vehicle is disabled and is creating a safety hazard for other motorists. When you must leave the vehicle to seek assistance, the Hazard Warning flasher will continue to operate even though the ignition switch is OFF. NOTE: With extended use, the Hazard Warning flasher may wear down your battery. http://cdn.dealereprocess.com/cdn/servicemanuals/chrysler/2010-townandcountry.pdf

After using turn signal you can still hear clinking, is hazard relay part of turn signal

The hazard switch is also the device that supplies the turn signal "flash". If you continue to hear the noise of the turn signal flashing when the turn signals off than the problem is the turn signal switch. It is grounding The purple wire from the hazard switch which makes the hazard switch think the turn signal is on. The fix for this is to relace the turn signal/multi-function switch. Typically they will start to go bad in stages. Your symptom is the first stage. Eventually either the turn signals or the brake lights will also sto working. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

I have a 2003 Chevy Malibu and when the Hazard lights are engaged they flash erratically. Anyone have an idea?

Problem is probably with the flasher it's self. Does the flasher click even after the turn signals cancel? if so, the hazard switch is the flasher on these cars. Replace the hazard switch

Rear turn signal and hazard light don't flash (left side only)

The rear left turn signal bulb must be replaced immediatly before it melts the light socket, if it has'nt yet. Also please verify that the correct light bulb is being installed. because even though many bulbs look the same they are not identical. Installing the wrong bulb can be the begining of many, many problems in the particular circuit

Tiburon 04, left turn signal lights stay on once activated by either turn switch, hazard light switch, or alarm. Can sometimes get them to go out by using right turn switch position, or playing with hazard...

replace the turn signal 'Clicker' also known as the turn signal relay. Most likely the problem unless you have a really wierd electical issue that will be hard to isolate...

Left turn signal, just buzzes, no lights no flashing, but works o.k. in hazard. since the hazard lights on the left work and flash, could this be anything but the combo switch,$249.oo

It might be worth it to check all of your bulb sockets...I had similar problem in my 91 amigo - but my turn signal would flash very fast even though the bulb was fine.
I removed bulbs, checked all sockets & noticed that one had some rust/oxidation- obvious bad connection.
I sprayed it with some PB blaster (or use wd40 or silicone), wiped it out & replaced bulb. Solved the prob. Hope it works for u!

Unplug the turnsignal switch. If it stops then replace the switch. This is a common problem. Alot of times it is the hazard button that melts and causes it because all the turn signal functions go though the hazard switch but you have to replace the whole switch to fix it. Let me know what you find or if I can help you further. Please rate.
