What is the issue that you are facing is the car getting heated?
There is not much to truble shooting that you can do on the water pump, usually the bearing go out and have to be replace the water pump.

You can get one online from http://www.racepages.com/parts/water_pump/mercedes_benz.html

Let me know if you need further assistance
Thanks

You have either a fouled plug or clogged injector this is common when not using premium fuel try a good octane booster and injector cleaner in the same tank of fuel in will shudder till the clog is dislodged If this does not help change you sparkplugs when your car is running correctly you will be able to Haul again Love My 89 TE would'nt trade it for any SUV

Coolant light wont shut off after adding cooland 1992 300te

Hello, If you are sure that the reservoir is filled properly, unplug the 2 pin connector on the side of the reservoir and see if the light goes out. If the light goes out, you need to replace the sensor which is what the connector hooks to.
If you find this information to be correct would you please enter a "fixya" rating.
