Question about 2003 Volkswagen Passat
Replace the wiring harness to your alternator...my dad had the same problem and it turned out to be a wire in the wiring harness to the alternator...just like you everything checked out fine on his car and then one mechanic decided to check in the split loom around the wires to the alternator only to fine one of the wires had been burned and broke, once that was fixed the car ran like a champ...you can't see the damage you have to check inside the split loom of the wiring harness to the alternator.
