Audiovox subcontracted alarm, keyless entry, on canadian made chevs. i bought it with no keyless fobs. the key is stuck in the on postion. the alarm is activated. the valet button does not work. need 2 bypass. oh ya its a convertable. no over the counter manuals. help!!

you have to use the key to unlock and lock a door.that is if its a factory alarm. after market add on may not work that way and may need the remote. if drivers door dont disarm it try the key on pass. side. doors have to be closed when lock/unlock with the key
You should have it scaned to see if you have any codes. It has a RCDLR (remote control door lock reciever) this is the module that recieves the signal from the fobs. If it has a problem then the system will not work. If it has to be replaced then a dealer will have to program it for you. Good Luck
Seriously don't use the factory alarm system / keyless entry.
While my car was under warranty, the alarm malfunctioned and it wouldn't disarm. The solution was to have the car towed to a dealership and install a new BCM. This would have cost me over $1,000 - and it's not an isolated case.
Don't get a Hyundai key fob. Have an after market alarm / keyless entry installed. It will be cheaper & easier.
