Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala
This can be your catalytic converter. If engine has no power, and won't go very fast, and you have your foot to the floor, this is the likely cause. The car may be covered by a Chevy extended warranty for this known defect. The warranty is 10 years 100K miles on that particular part for that failure. Take it to a dealer and they should fix it for free.
