Question about 2004 Chrysler Sebring
My car has a code 0440 what does that mean
P0440 is typically an evaporative emissions code. What that means is gas in your tank evaporates and there is a system (evap system) set in place to manage those evaporations. This system monitors gas tank pressures and releases pressure accordingly. By monitoring pressures it can sometimes be set by leaving the gas cap a little loose after filling up. So the first thing I would check is make sure your cap is tight and get that code cleared out somewhere like a local parts store for free and see if it comes back on.
