Question about 1998 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Clock light and light on shifter is out on 98 accord V6

The clock light is out on my 1998 Honda accord V6 coupe EX and I have no idea how to fix it. Also, the light that is under the shifter (automatic) in the center is out as well. This is where you place the car from nuetral to D1, D2, etc. At night I can't see it in the center and I have no idea how to replace that light as well. Thanks!

Try to check both fuses if they are still good.

1999 honda accord coupe ex Trunk light doesn't work

If you have 12V at the WHT/BLU connection to the trunk light, operating the trunk latch causes a switch to close and connect the other lead to ground. If you jump the ORG lead directly to ground, the trunk light should come on and verify the latch switch is defective. It also is possible the trunk light socket is defective

Honda Accord 98 EX coupe - 3L V6 starting problem

I would take the vehicle to a different shop.
You can go to Autozone , They can scan the vehicle for free. There maybe a codes stored and auto zone can tell you what the code means. You can also check the price of ignition coils with them. The price the shop is asking is rediculous . I am guessing a coil should not be no more then 100.00 and labor time 1.5 hours with diagnosis time. I think you can get an estimate for repairs at Pep boy for a lot less. Good Luck .

Odeometer and clock lights

Just replaced bulb on my 2002 Accord EX. Simple to do.
1. Lift up the trim piece around clock; just slide a putty knife under and lift.
2. Take out assembly and look on underside for small gray bulb base ( about 3/16 dia.). It helps if you have the new one to compare.
3. Use small blade screwdriver in slot and rotate counterclockwise to remove. You may have to shake it to get out.
4. Examine the new bulb to find the slots that DO NOT have wires. Put bulb into socket and rotate clockwise with screwdriver in proper slot.
That's it; you now are there.
