Once you have the codes, you can look them up on the web. Just do a search ' 94 Lincoln town car code.....' Just plug in the code(s) number.

Start with the O2 sensor, it's the cheaper solution. If the light still comes on, then it has to be the converter. Make sure you change all the O2 sensors.

what code did they give the code will tell u something like "o2 lean bank ? sensor?" and if auto zone is telling u that its giving an o2 sensor problem most likely thats the trouble code that showed up and which sensor

If the old intake manifold was used and the airhorn was not removed, there is a chamber below the airhorn that needs cleaning. It takes 8 bolts to remove the airhorn and a $10 gasket.
The chamber feeds the EGR system. Have Autozone or Oreillys scan the car. Sometimes when carbon fouls the system the O2 sensors are dirty and it upsets the computer.

THEY (2-3) are an absolute PAIN to change...try running "SeaFoam" in the tank for 100 miles or so first. Avaialble at Advance Auto Parts $8. follow directions

Does the button on the passenger door work. They were prone to the drivers switches going bad. Usually the drivers window due to more use. They check engine light could be numerous things. Bad O2 sensor for example, Best to have it scanned. Could probably get the code at an AutoZone, Oriellys etc.
