Question about 1998 Isuzu Hombre

Vibration @ 1,100 - 1,200 rpm on Isuzu Trooper

I just bought a '98 Trooper with 72k miles. I has a vibration that is most prevelant at 1,100 to 1,200 rpm. Have had engine checked out. No trouble codes, injectors fine, plugs firing good, compression check good, and nothing negative showing on scope. Shop said they are "not sure" what problem is, but are sure it's not the engine.

They suspect a possible torque converter problem. Vibration seems worse at this specific RPM, smooths out at higher rpms.

Any thoughts about this being a torque converter problem? If so, any way to diagnose without teardown?

04 acura ti 3.2 litre engine vibration from idle to 1500 rpm

Wow thats a bunch of miles for only 9 yrs.
I would want to know if it is something related to the engine or transmission, or the wheels and suspension.
Does it happen in all gears, and at any road speed ? Can you rev up the engine and make the vibration, or does the car have to be moving ?

I would next check the condition of the engine, transmission and transfer case mounts. The mounts all have rubber inserts in them to absorb vibration and if the rubber starts to deteriorate or drycrack it can cause a vibration, especially under load.

Just bought 1998 hyundai elantra with 96K miles on it. engine light came on and when i stop at red light, the rpm goes down and car starts vibrating. it gets better when i put it to park. anyone can help...

Sounds like the ISC (Idle Speed Control) which is adjustable.  The secondary idle needs adjustment to prevent the car from wanting to stall at low speeds.

Steering whel vibration isuzu bighorn 3.1d 1992 auto

Some SUV's have a steering damper. This is like a telescopic shock absorber that is attached to the steering idler arm at one end and the chassis at the other. If the bighorn has one this may be the cause of the problem. It took me months to find a severe steering vibration problem on a Range Rover. I replaced the damper, which was quite inexpensive, and the problem went away.
