Question about 1998 Isuzu Hombre
I just bought a '98 Trooper with 72k miles. I has a vibration that is most prevelant at 1,100 to 1,200 rpm. Have had engine checked out. No trouble codes, injectors fine, plugs firing good, compression check good, and nothing negative showing on scope. Shop said they are "not sure" what problem is, but are sure it's not the engine.
They suspect a possible torque converter problem. Vibration seems worse at this specific RPM, smooths out at higher rpms.
Any thoughts about this being a torque converter problem? If so, any way to diagnose without teardown?
