Rremove the valet key by sliding the button and pulling. If you look in the notch where the valet key normally sits, you'll see a little ridge below the top of the key, just below the slide lock. Use a small screwdriver to push this in, while pulling up on the center part of the key. The center part of the key will slide up and out. There are two batteries inside, replace the same way you take out.

Dead battery in locked trunk (Mercedes 1990)

Many People don't know exactly how to use the manual key attached to your remote to open the doors and trunk in case the battery is dead. All you have to do is slide the locking button in the back of your remote and pull the metal pre-cut key, then insert it in the trunk lock, turn key to the left and then push in. kawaboongha!!!

82 benz trunk wont open dead baterry

If you use the key to lock all the doors, the trunk locks also, so if you have a dead battery, you probably don't have vaccuum to open the locks, because all the locks are vaccuum activated. Charge or change the battery and start it up, after a few minutes you should be able to activate the door locks, thus unlocking your trunk.

Good luck...

Mercedes e220cdi 2003 battery is totally dead can't open doors or boot to change battery. have got key fob with infra red so no actual metal key to manually open door. help as i need to sell this car.

This is a very serious situation as there are only a few ways you can go about this.
The surest way out of this is to call a mechanic over and have him help you open the lock from outside.
He can do this by picking the lock or by working on the door panel.
There is no other secure method as the car would not come on neither will it open.
hope this helped you? Please comment for more information.
