Need to change passenger side headlight

you might need to move the air filter box to do this.

The bulb and its wiring is on the back of the headlight. Twist the clip to remove it from the headlamp housing, pull the bulb out and replace it, then reinstall the bulb into the housing.

If you need to replace the whole headlight and not just bulb you'll need to remove the grille by unscrewing 4 screws on the top side of the grill Rotate the grill toward the front to release from the clips holding it in place. There are 2 screws on the inboard area of the headlamp. Remove these two screws and the lamp will come out. Now you can replace the lamps or the unit.

The manual does not show how to replace the headlamp bulbs. There is a reference in the back for headlamp replacement, yet when I turn to the referenced page, the taillamp replacement is shown.

1 method is to remove the grill, and pull the headlights out to replace the bulb. I don't like this method for one reason, the grill is brittle, can crack or break easily if not pulled out carefully.

Here's what I do:

Drivers side- I stick my hand down by the alternator and over behind the headlight. Remove the rubber cover and twist the light out.

Passengers side- I take the top of the air cleaner off, then you have complete access to the rubber covers and bulbs.

5 minute job to do both sides.

Need to replace low beam headlamps on 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.

For the passenger side- need to remove the air cleaner top and move the air cleaner out of the way. You can now access the rubber covers that protect the bulbs.

For the Drivers side, just stick, your hand down behind the headlight and remove the rubber cover.

Remember, do not touch the new bulbs, the oil from our hands will burn a hold in the bulb.

I need to replace the bulb on the front headlamp, on a97 Honda oddesy

1. Open the hood. If you need to change a bulb on the passenger's side, remove the air intake cover (the air cleaner housing is on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. Remove the two pins holding the air intake cover by pulling the head on each pin, then remove the air intake cover).
2. Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by squeezing the connector on both sides to unlock the tab. Pull the connector straight off.
3. Remove the rubber weather seal by pulling on the tab.
4. Unclip the end of the hold-down wire from its slot. Pivot it out of the way and remove the bulb.
5. Insert the new bulb into the hole, making sure the tabs are in their slots. Pivot the hold-down wire back in place and clip the end into the slot.
6. Install the rubber seal over the back of the headlight assembly. Make sure it is right side up; it is marked "TOP".
7. Push the electrical connector onto the tabs of the new bulb. Make sure it locks in place. Turn on the headlights to test the new bulb.
8. (Passenger's side) Reinstall the air intake cover.
Hope this helps you.

How do you remove the head lamp assembly on a 1993

1. Make sure headlamp is off and open hood.
2. Taurus model years 1990-1999: you must remove the whole headlamp to replace the bulb. Not a horrible task. Just annoying.
3. Facing the driver's side headlamp, and looking at the headlamp itself, at clock positions 8, 11 and 1 are the headlight housing screws. They all look the same. Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove these 3 screws and set them aside.
4. Just to the right of the "11 o'clock" housing screw is a bolt (same hexagonal 10mm sized top as the housing screws). This just needs a few turns to loosen it.
5. Gently pull the whole headlight forward. Now you can get at the bulb.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb. Now the headlamp is free to work with. Remove the bulb, replace with a new bulb, make sure the bulb housing cylinder is in place and reconnect the electical.
7. Place headlamp back into position. Line up screw holes. Tighten the bolt. Replace housing screws and tighten.
8. Passenger side headlamp is mirror image of driver's side. Screws at 11, 1 and 4 o'clock positions. Bolt should be to the left of the "1 o'clock" housing screw.
