The hemi has 8 ignition coils, one for each cylinder. They're hald on by 2 10mm bolts and also have an electrical connector and early models have a plug wire going to them. To remove them you must take out the 2 bolts, pull the ignition cable off if its got one and disconnect the electrical connector. Then it pulls right out. The electrical connector has a red locking tab that must be slid over or pulled outwards depending on the design, but DO NOT completely remove the tab. Then push the connector on a little bit, squeeze down the black release lever tab and pull it off.

ok, well my check engine light was on, went to autozone, diagnosed it as the ignition coil. Been having trouble with it starting, key wont turn at all, goes in the ignition but it will not budge, its like locked up. Im guessing this is from the ignition coil problem. How will i know which one needs to be changed, given there is 8 coils.
