an if its not a pressure switch do you know what it could be then?

  • Richard Scordino May 11, 2010

Check and see if you have a pressure switch on the steering hose. Chrysler had problems with those.

I suggested the switch because it has been a problem on many chrysler cars...To offer anything further without the benefit of doing a complete hands-on code check and diagnostics would take up a few pages of "maybes" and even so I could be entirely wrong. Therefore, instead of loading you up with a bunch of impressive but useless stuff, I recommend that you go there first, then do diagnostics if necessary...most large parts stores now read codes for free!

Hard starting

Change your fuel filter out. if that does not work take it to your mechanic and have them do a fuel rail check. They should only charge about $25. This will let you know if your fuel pump is going out.

Impala keeps turning off wile driving

What I can tell you-- is that the egr valve, fuel injectors, crank sensor,
maf sensor-- never failed all at once or at all

That tells me three things

Either nothing was tested
You have no idea what was done & paid for it
Or you installed a lot of parts for no reason

What you can do is find a really good & honest repair
shop & start at the beginning & properly diagnose &
resolve all the cars issues

Had that been done in the beginning, it may have cost
less than all the wasted parts that went in so far for no reason

Whats wrong when my nissan muranos ac does not want to turn on but when it does does whatever it wants turns off by it self and is not on auto mode it blows air for a wile and turns off n keeps on doing...

If your car has 2 fans one should come on when you turn the A/C on, it should have Relay associated with each fan. The other fan will come on when engine reaches operating temperature. If the Freon pressure is low the low pressure switch could be taking it out.( Not likely but it happened to me with a Cobalt once. This may seem odd but if your alternator is putting out correct voltage, the computer could try to conserve power and be shutting it down. I lost A/C and steering assist and interior lights.) The compressor/clutch could be going bad. Belt may not be adjusted right but normally you will hear it.

Hi experts ! I replaced the gear box on a 1995 Chevy G10 van ( my first ) and now I have more left turn than right turn . I think I have to remove the P arm ( is there a trick to that ? ) and adjust the...

yes you will have to remove the pitman arm and turn the gear box so that it turns more to the right. it has slots so align it on the next slot to the right. they make a tool that they call a pitman arm puller that raps around the pitman arm and puts pressure on gear box shaft wile turning it clock wise. you'll figure it out once you see the tool. the big nut usually takes 1 1/4 inch socket. hope this helps

My key won't turn in the ignition and my wheel is locked...how can I fix this

Usually if you will rock the steering wheel back and forth with your left hand while trying to turn the key with your right , it will break loose. My sister's car is real bad about it especially if she parks on a side slope.

Could be fuel filter, idle air control valve, or idle control sensor, or a vacuum leak.
