I have a couple of questions first one is i have a 1998 gmc sonoma that im putting a carbed 350 in and im wanna know how do you wire the my key switch to the starter i don't want it wired to a switch....

Hope this helps on the starter. I guess you mean you need to buy a separate starter switch. That way it will not be wired to the normal switch. Some diagram detective work will find the wire to cut and transfer to the new switch.

You can use your fuel pump in the tank, but may a pressure reducer device and a return line to carry excess fuel back to the tank.

Dash? You can if you have similar parts on your new set up. You will learn a lot on this experiment, for sure. http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/

Need to drain a full tank of fuel in a 2001 chevy impala

Disconnect the line somewhere and point it into a container, and power up the fuel pump with a jumper wire at the fuel pump relay. Put battery voltage to the fuel pump wire terminal where the relay plugs in. Careful you don't get the wrong terminal, or you could fry your computer! And for gosh sakes, be safety conscious. Fuel lines are under pressure, so relieve the pressure before you take a line loose.
Another way is to raise the car on blocks or jackstands, and take the filler hose off. Then you can put a siphon hose into the tank and drain it.
A friend of mine wanted 5 gallons out of his Suburban's tank. He disabled the ignition, and used the starter cranking to make the pump run. He told me he got about 2 gallons before the starter got too hot and burned up on him.

88 Chevy P30, diesal. Rebuilt injection pump, new starter, flexplate, fuel filter, new batteries, new cable connections to batteries.......STILL won't fire. Glow plugs tested and ok'd, cranks good just...

Did you loosen an injector line to see if you are getting fuel to the cylinder? Did you bleed the filter when you changed it? Was the rebuilt pump properly timed when it was installed? Are you sure all the air was bled out of the system after the pump and filter were changed? Do you have air bubbles in the fuel return line?
A copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part #10330 ($20) could prove to be invaluable to help you track this down. It has excellent coverage of GM 6.2 and 6.5 engines. Hope this helps.

Engine turns over but won't start

Get yourself a female spade connector and five feet #12 AUTOMOTIVE WIRE. unplug the wire at the starter solenold. Plug in the five foot cord you made. Remove the distribitor cap. Turn the ignition switch on. Now take the other end of that extension wire and ark the positive battery. This will turn the engine over so you can watch the distribitor action. If this funtions ok, replace the cap. Now take one of the spark plug wires and stick a long screwdriver into it. Place it close to a ground source. Repeat turning over the engine with the ignition on. You should be getting good spark here. If ok here, check your fuel source. Turn off the ignition. Break the fuel line loose from the fuel rail. Turn on the ignition and the fuel should spurt out real good. Try these.
