Question about 1988 Mazda 323 Hatchback
I have a 1988 Mazda 323. While driving sometimes, My lights will turn on, then the fuel, temp, and blinkers will not function. However the backlight for the dash, speedo, headlights, tailights, brake lights still work as they should. I have no clue what the problem is, any ideas?
Dont listen to this idiot jhudes . I would recomend if you have access to a salvage yard that you would try replacing the circuit board behind the gauges and you might aswell replace the gauges while your at it. I just did this in my 88 mazda 323 when the temp and fuel gauge and left blinker quit working but the dash still lit up and the speedometer still worked. I found out my circuit board was corroded after repalcing it and the gauges it all works good. If this doesnt work check the fuel and temp senders.

Faulty wiring for the lights, and blinkers....
broken gears for the fuel and temp gauge...
just get rid of the damn car, get a Civic of the same year.
I was given a 323 once, unsiezed the rear brakes (the idiot left the thing parked with the e-brake on all winter), then sold it for beer money.
