You may have a burned valve or gap on sparkplug is closed or burned out. Pull one plug wire at a time and see if there is a change in the motor, if u find one that doesnt change ,take a compresion test on that cylinder

Trans mount?

The moun sounds like it is probably bad. But you are addressing SHAKING. Most motors don't SHAKE. It may have a miss to it or not be running smoothly. It may need a tune up or have bad gas. Just remember this car is 12 years old and may need some simple TLC.

Bogs down when shifts into 3rd gear and speed levels out

there are several possibilities. by bogging down do you mean the engine runs smooth but looses power? or does the engine/car start shaking and doesnt want to go any faster? if the engine runs smooth and doesnt seem to be shaking...can you hear a noise from the engine compartment? or a hi pressure noise from the rear of the vehicle - like a vacuum cleaner? if so then you probably have a plugged catalytic converter. if the engine seems to shake the van and looses power until you let up on the throttle slightly then you have a misfiring condition which can be caused by bad plug wires, plugs or a coil breaking down. as you shift up in gears the spark needed to each cylinder is increased and if you have bad plugs, wires or coil the spark wont get to the cylinder when it is needed. see if any of this sounds similar to your condition and request more info from me if ya like. good luck. carefull the converter can cause a fire if it gets too hot!

Why does my 99 mercury cougar shake when i come to a complete stop and accelerate over 55mph.

tires could need balanced. However, my past experience says its because your rotors are warped. They need to be machined smooth again. Doing this requires new brake pads as well. Should just be the front causing the problem

I have a 1994 grand marquis...won't run smooth

You should remove carbon build up in the EGR valve (rear of engine by firewall.) Do yourself a favor and buy a new EGR gasket before attempting project. Stuff rags into the opening to engine use a screw driver as a scaper and use liberal amounts of carb cleaner spray to remove the build up. You may have to clean and or replace the EGR sensor, try carb cleaner on it and shake out residue and let dry first. This build up can happen every 50-75k miles.
