Question about 2001 Ford Escape
Check the lamp sockets and housings for water, it sounds like you have a short circuit between the park and signal lamps, I would suspect it is in one of the right hand side lights, remove the bulbs and clean out the sockets, check for corrosion inside the socket, especially at the base where the bulb get ist power. Check the condition of the wires, look for exopsed wires.

Check for a bad ground or loose ground. I had a very similar problem and found a loose ground inside the engine compartment that was loose.
