1998 Ford windstar healights do not turn on and headlight bulbs are new. What could it be?

    I checked the fuses and they are OK. Replaced the light switch, also. Does the multi-switch on steering column effect the headlights?

Check the plug closely. The tabs where the bulb goes in corrode and break off. Replace the plug.

Change headlights for ford windstar 2000

open hood.behind plastic headlight assembly,towards the corners,locate two square metal 'tabs' these are the 'handles' of the retaining brackets pry/pull straight out.remove bolt near grille opening.pull assembly forward to access lamp socket.turn socket counterclockwise,remove & replace bulb.do not touch glass of a halogen bulb,the oil from your fingers will cause a 'hot spot' & bulb may fail prematurely.clean 'touched' bulb w/ alcohol.

My left headlight highbeam light works and the lowbeam don't why

the filament on the low beam burnt out. but the high beam didn't. You have a filament for each. 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam in the same light bulb. You need a new head light.

This is normal. They time themselves out. Is the switch in the auto position? If so, turn it off, and they will turn off with the car.
