Question about 2005 Pontiac G6

I need to replace my instrument cluster in a 2005 pontiac G6 GT but have never done this before and need help on how to do this or if it is even possible to do this on my own!

    its plug and play - once the trim around it is removed - the cluster will remove with 4 screws.

    unplug old, and reverse to install.

    Simple job - should be about 1 hours work.

Electronics in automobiles are becoming extremely complex. The cluster will likely have to be flashed with the correct programming at a dealer once it's replaced. The actual replacement of the cluster may not require much more then a few simple hand tools. However having it work correctly or at all once replaced will require a special handheld computer with the correct software. Unfortunately for this problem it looks like the best option is to bring it to repair facility with the correct equipment.

2006 G6 2.4 I'm checking resistance from CKP to ECM. Is 2.5 ohms too much? The RPM guage is inop.Scan tool shows CKP rpms, but not on IP.

You pull the cover off of the fuse block, And on back of the cover it should list what fuses are where. i have attached your owners manual and some diagrams of the fuse box 2006 pontiac g6 fuse diagram Google Search

G6 won't start. Says

sounds like u are have scurity probs with the car not reconizing the key or it thinks its not in park there will bea code stored in the history of the ecm u will have to take it to a dealer have them just diag it that will let u know what needs to be done

Where is the temperature guage located under the hood in my pontiac g6. I can not find it to replace.

The temperature gauge is actually a needle that read a range of Hot/Cold on the dash instrument cluster. If you are referring to the coolant temperature sensor, the location depends on the engine size. Post the engine size and we'll answer it better.

Where transmission fluid dipstick tube on a 2005 pontiac G6 GT

alot do not have a dipstick jack car up and block as u need to go under car on front of trans is a plug about 4ins. up take out and fluid should come out
