Question about Chevrolet Suburban 2500
Are you asking about the key cylinder or the actual ign switch? They are both in the steering column. The key cylinder needs special tools to change it, but it can be done at home. The ign switch can be accessed by dropping the steering column down. It's on the top of the column and has about 10 heavy wires going into it. Remove the 2 5/16 head screws holding it, and then you can unplug the wiring should be 2 connectors side by side. When you put the new switch in you will have to adjust it by leaving the 2 screws loose then turn your key to acc, slide the switch forward, then tighten the bolts. A haynes manual might explain this better. You can get those from any auto parts place. As for the key cylinder you have to take the column completly apart. It requires a special tool. It would be better explained in the haynes manual. Good luck
