Question about 1992 Dodge Grand Caravan

1 Answer

Interior lights and gauges all stopped

This happened  suddenly  wehn my 'check  gauges"  light  came on.
Well i looked downa nd all my gauges had ceased to register anything from my  RPM  gauge, Speed odometer,  gas indicator , heat  gauge, battery charging and  even my odometer  doesn't work  or register  milaelage anymore.
i have  checked all my fuses and the problem doesn't seem to be  that  so am  assuming it  may be  just a cable that  has come  loose. Any suggestions of what  cable it might be and  where i could look.

Caravans are notorious for this problem start by removing the dash gauges and examine the main wire harness connectors to the gauges they often times short out or come loose because of vibration

Bad ignition module often will not set a code for itself. Hard to diagnose due to being so random. Also just possible tach feed wire is shorting somewhere, coming and going.

It's hard for me to understand all of what you said, but I'd start with checking all of my fuses. Look for a blown fuse. Replace. If it blows again, you have a short somewhere.
