I would require a little more detail of this to be able to give an accurate solution to the problem. Though just from the very limited information and not knowing if there is any attempt of the starter and engine trying to turn over I'd have to say it could possibly be a lose wire, bad starter, bad ignition, fuel pump, fuel pump relay...could be a lot of things. So please if at all possible give a little further detail as to if there is no attempt of life from the vehicle, or that it's attempting and just not fireing up. Thank you.

You need to check the battery voltage under a load..(load test) if you battery drops to below 10 volts while under load it will need to be replaced.. if it is ok, check your battery cables for good clean connections and make sure they are tight..if that is all ok, move on to check starter

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. The starter is nothing more than a capacitor that stores enough energy to start the car however the ignition switch permits ignites the fuel to start the engine.

Check the oil. The low oil sensor will disable the ignition if more than a quart low.

The alternator has failed and is not charging the battery. Vehicle has run on battery only until voltage was too low to keep engine running.

My 85 silverado was doing the same thing last week. After a few days of that B.S. I ended up replacing the fuel pump and filter and she's been running great since,

PS. The fuel filter is located at the carburator.
