The filter is directly under the center of the engine. If you have a 2.2 it sits sideways, but is directly under the center of the engine.Pay the $20.00 and let Midas change your oil!

I can not find where the oil dip stick is located on my 2002 cavalier 4 cyl

I\'ll give you the benefit of the doubt and that you\'ve not had the car long, or depended on others to provide basic maintenance. First, go to local auto parts store (where you\'ll be buying any oil, oil filters etc) and get the Chilton repair manual for this car. You don\'t need a college degree to understand the instructions and pictures.

Where is the tps located on a 2002 chevy cavalier

The throttle position sensor is located on the end of the intake plenum where the hose from the air filter attaches. It should be on the opposite side from where the throttle cables attach.

2002 Chevy cavalier 2 door won't start. It almost turns over, and does this a lot when it is damp and rainy outside

It could be the air filter but I would first suspect the fuel filter. If it has been awhile since your last tuneup I would suggest doing one - including filters, oil, cap / rotor, wires and plugs.
You're on the right track with your thinking - good luck!!
