Jack up the front of the van support it on jack stands blck the rear wheels it's better to do it on level ground:) disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the two starter bolts holdind the starter up be carefull when removing the starter as it can be a little heavy when dropping it down also make a note if there are any shims in between the starter and engine to replace them whren putting it back together. also make sure you note the wiring connections so the can be replaced in the same order they are removed. it's basically like a puzzle:) the starter is located right next to the transaxle good luck:)

How to remove and replace transmission in 1999 plymouth voyager van

VAN NEEDS TO BE ON A LIFT AND IN NEUTRAL/REMOVE BATTERY/REMOVE FT.WHEELS/BOTH CV DRIVE AXLES/STARTER/LABEL AND REMOVE ALL WIRING CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO THE TRANS...(BE SURE TO LABEL WHERE ALL WIRING CONNECTORS GO SO YOU WILL KNOW FOR SURE WHERE THEY GO WHEN YOU RE-INSTALL NEW TRANS)...YOU CAN ALSO TAKE PHOTO'S IF YOU HAVE NO WAY TO LABEL THEM.ALSO BE SURE ALL NUMBERS AND LETTERS ON NEW TRANS MATCH OLD TRANS.
AFTER ALL WIRING IS DISCONNECTED REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER PLATE TO REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER BOLTS...OR SOME CAN BE REMOVED FROM STARTER LOCATION.
REMOVE ANY ENGINE COMPONENTS/RADIATOR/COOLING FAN/DOGBONE MOUNTS/SKID PLATES EXHAUST SYSTEM ANYTHING IN THE WAY BUT BE POSITIVE OF LOCATION TO RE-ASSEMBLE IN CORRECT ORDER..etc..
NEXT BE SURE IT IS SECURE FROM TOP AND BOTTOM FOR SAFETY BEFORE REMOVAL,...
IT IS BEST TO USE ENGINE HOIST AND A TRANS JACK FOR SAFETY...IF IT IS FT. WHEEL DRIVE.REMOVE BOLTS THAT MOUNTS IT TO ENGINE....REMOVE TRANS/RE-INSTALL IN REVERSE ORDER...........FOR FT.WHEEL DRIVE.

How do you remove and replace a blower motor on a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager?

Caution : BEFORE STARTING, DISCONNECT BATTERY ( - ) NEGATIVE CABLE FROM BATTERY TO AVOID POSSIBLE AIR BAG DEPLOYING, AND WAIT 3 or 4 minutes before beginning to be sure.. Removing glove box will make it easier. In behind there, you'll see a cover over motor, remove it, then you'll see motor and fan wheel. Remove wiring connector and push it back through into housing . Remove 3 screws holding motor/fan assembly and lower it down and out of housing. Reverse procedure for install, and don't forget wiring back through housing and grommet on wiring. Re-connect battery clamp after all installed and test it. Good Luck.

The van won't start and it keeps blowing the 20 amp engine fuse when you try starting it.

Get under the car and check the starter. Ok really grab a hammer and hit the starter a couple times. Try starting it again. If it dont work you should replace the starter. The starter maybe pulling too much power from the battery trying to start the car. Good Luck!

Can you show me where the starter is located on a 1999 plymouth grand voyager

Take a look at the photo....

In this photo, it is the 3.0L engine. The starter is right next to the oil filter. There is a bracket there with an "X", to the left of it is the starter. Location is in the front, closest to the grill of the van. Same for the 3.8L and the 2.4L (it'll be close to the A/C compressor.).

u need to raise up the van then once your underneath it u should find the starter going from the left tire to the right tire either closer to the front bumper or the firewall..most likely closer to the back of the engine by the firewall then once you find it its only a thick wire and a few bolts and it should fall out
