Check your vac lines, also a hard brake pedal can be a bad brake booster.

Abs light is on and brakes keep getting tighter

bad brakes. (do explain tighter?) (to a blind, no leg man)
first fix bad brakes, then worry ABS. last
explain tighter.
in driving school , they teach , how to drive (safely) with a stalled engine
as the engine stalls. and vacuum hits zero, the booster slowly
dies and bingo , old fashion , manual brakes. (stalls are like that)
is that what is happening. engine stalls?, or the booster is failing?
what happens there is brakes are 100 ok, but just harder to press
the pedal so you press harder and brakes are ALL THERE.
the is all by DESIGN.. no accident (no pun)
see if you have any other bad brakes symptoms.
like these.
http://www.fixkick.com/brakes/brakes.html#DoNotDrive

if brakes are 100% ok then , run the ABS scan or diagnostic
stated in the FSM , see what code you are getting.
then post that. ABS can not function correctly with bad brakes.

2003 nissan frontier stalls when i slam on the brakes

Check oil level, but might be idle motor going bad. The idle motor kicks down the idle as needed as the rpm dictates. If sudden reduction in rpm occurs the idle motor normally keeps up and motor continues running at reduced idle. Unless its going out on you, then you may experience stalling when speed is suddenly reduced such as hard braking.

1998 Corvette with manual transmission. when letting clutch pedal out, car stalls every time either in 1st or reverse

Give it more gas before letting the clutch out? Release the parking brake? Check for binding brake/parking brake parts if brake is released? Dammaged differential?

Galant vrg-gdi-when i engage reverse the car stalls--but once you start moving --ok

You vehicle uses a Idle air control motor,(IAC) when you put a load on the vehicle (Drive or reverse) the ECM detects the load and idles up the IAC, even for the A/C (air conditioner) You can try a throttle body cleaning. or a new IAC

My 1992 chev lumina apv van stalls everytime i put on the brakes at every red light it restarts after no codes are coming up what could it be?:

check to make sure the power brake booster is not leaking, do this by starting the van and just let it idle in park and push the brake pedal if the engine stalls or surges or you hear a sucking noise under the dash then replace the power brake booster if there is none of these systems then replace the idle control motor. GOOD LUCK

Stalls out at stop signs and red lights. Couple of time while coasting. Hard to restart. Eventually does. Prior to stalling, RPM is low and oscillating slightly. Once, after restart, had no control on...

I would take it to your local shop and have them test the idle air control motor which is mounted on the top of the motor and also check the mass air flow meter located in the air intake system. If you can keep slight pressure on the gas pedal and the motor continues running, then I would first suspect the IAC as being the problem.

2006 explorer. whencar put in reverse it won't move, when it does, it will jump and make a loud clanking sound

three things to check

bad Universal Joint,
with the vehicle in park and the parking brake firmly set get under the vehicle and check for excessive play at either end of the driveshaft.

bad transmission mount
get a helper, have them start the vehicle and with the parking brake firmly set and the brake pedal depressed put it in reverse (DO NOT BE UNDER VEHICLE AND STAY CLEAR OF TIRES) , watch the driveshaft and transmission for movement.

bad motor mount
open the hood, have the helper once again start the engine and put the vehicle in reverse with the parking brake set and the brake pedal depressed, watch for excessive engine movement.

Motor stalls

Check the engine coolant sensor and idle control valve, if it  stalls when pushing the brake pedal check the ground in the trunk ant left bottom corner.  Tail lights and fuel pump share the same ground.

91 Chevy 1500 stalls

Hi Michelle;
I know this is frustrating but I do not want you to throw money at your truck when it is not necessary. The 91 is an OBD1 system. Have you downloaded the codes? I can be of more assistance if I have the codes to diagnois. You definetly have a problem, I wan to solve it.
Since you just had a new engine installed and then the problem started, I would look very closely at the fuel lines. Perhaps the engine torque is pinching a flex line. Perhaps when you engage reverse, something is hitting and grounding out. It seems to me when you engage reverse the torque rolls the engine to far and maybe grounds out the coil. Are your motor mounts in good shape? Check by opening the hood, put your foot on the brake hard, engage reverse, and keeping your foot hard on the brake, give it gas. If the engine rolls up off the mount the mount is broken. You may need to have someone help you with this.
Let's keep talking. I really want to help.
Thanks;
Rich
