Hi! there,
there are two common freon used on car aircon R-12 and R-
134a. R12 commonly referred to as Freon. (Freon is the trade name
for the refrigerant R-12, that was manufactured by DuPont).
Extensive scientific studies have proven the damaging effects of this
refrigerant to our ozone layer, and its manufacture has been banned
by the U.S. and many other countries that have joined together to
sign the Montreal Protocol, a landmark agreement that was
introduced in the 1980's to limit the production and use of chemicals
known to deplete the ozone layer.
then they introduce R-134a as replacement to R-12 w/c is accepted,"enviromentally friendly" refrigerant,R-134a this new refrigerant has higher operating pressure and has adequate quality
for aircompressor device specially on bravada 2000 model.
have a nice day , don't forget to rate me, thank's

Air condisoner stop working on Toyota corolla89years

It may have leaked out all its Freon gas. If it uses Freon it will not be able to be re-gassed as Freon puts a hole in the ozone layer of the atmosphere. It is expensive to get an air-conditioner re gassed if it uses ozone destroying gas as the new gas is different and the air conditioner needs to be modified to run the newer gas if the Corolla is a older model. Could be compressor has gone faulty. but to replace it will mean it will have to be re-gassed.

1998 Oldsmobile Bravada only blows hot air. The air conditioner motor kicks on and off and the condenser is cold

Have the ac system check professionally as there are 2 control switches in the system that prevent the compressor working if there is either insufficient gas or excessive gas

How do I fix my air conditioner?

It might just need to be refilled with freon gas. Go to pep boys and ask them to check it. They can also refill it for you

E air conditioner in my 2000 olds bravada is blowing only hot air. I have put the r32 into it and the condenser is only working intermittently. Could this be something other than a leak in the system?

First I have never hear of r32, your car should take 134a freon, I been do this for over 30 years, and by looking at a condenser I could not tell you it's working or not, maybe you mean a/c compressor, if a/c compr. is cycle, could still be low on freon.

My daughter's 2000 Dodge Neon's air conditioner wasn't cooling very sell so she took it in to have freon added. The shop drained all the freon out and then tried to add new freon but none will go into the...

you need the compressor running to get freon into the system
using gauges on a manifold you allow the compressor to suck the gas in to the system until you get a pressure reading at the high side gauge
That is the correct amount of gas for the system
take it to an accredited ac specialist shop to have the job done properly

Air conditioner compressor not turning on bought a new compressor last year it is full of freon/the new stuff

hopefully when they regassed it with the new freon they put dye in the system if the gas has leaked out somewhere slowly this will stop the compressor from working as the have a back pressure release valve, when the pressure isnt high enough the compressor will not engage. you may need to take it in to have them check the pressure in your system.

Air conditioner blow warm air after freeon

you could have a leak in the ac system which would be why you had to add freon. take it to a repair shop and ask them to check fo rleaks because adding more freon wont fix your issue if there is a leak.

I get heated air, even if I turn on the air conditioner in my 2000 1.8t vw golf GTI

Check your freon lines make sure their not cut or damaged, check your fuses under the dash and in the engine compartment, make sure your surpentine belt is tight, also you can make sure your electrical connection is still attached to the ac compressor. Freon kinda smells like sewer gas.
