2005 grand prix -- trunk lid won't open

2005 pontiac grand prix -- my trunk will not open when i press the release button on the key fob. there is no key hole for manual release. t also will not open from inside the car. the lights flash & i can hear an electrical click (solenoid?) when i hit the release. however, the latch does not come undone. is this a simple fuse?

Looked at the fuses under the hood and by the glove box, and can't find the trunk release switch fuse. The trunk is continuously opening by itself and I want to pull the fuse.

There isn't one. It's controlled by the BCM. You have a shorted wire or the switch is bad. Pop the switch out and unplug it. If it still happens(shorted wire) open the trunk and pull the plug off the latch.

Open trunk grand prix

According to the owners manual, there should be a key slot around the tail lights or trunk lid. You can also use the power door lock switch to unlock the trunk by holding the switch in the unlock position.

2001 pontiac grand prix will not go into park fully and it gets stuck so I have to stick a key into the shift release button also trunk wont open

The shifter cable might need adjustment from the PRINDLE switch on the transmission and the trunk switch needs to be replaced.

My key is stuck in the ignition and now i can't unlock my doors or my trunk with the key fob or the key

As long as your key isn't broken off in the ignition I might be able to help. Look under your steering column by where your ignition key goes into and you should see a couple small empty holes. Take a small object like a screwdriver and put it up in the hole. That should allow the key to release. Getting the problem repaired for good is a different conversation, but this should get you out of the jam for now.

My pontiac G6 trunk lid is jambed, the dash indicator say 'Trunk Adjar" but we can niether shut it or get it open. both the key fob and the inside relese button seem to be be working in that you can hear...

there is a little finger in the latch that closes when the trunk is closed chances are that the little finger has closed but the trunk is still open... this can be fixed by looking at the latch on the lid you will see a slot with a metal arm in the middle take a screw driver and place it in the hole in the slot at the top. press the button on the fob to open the trunk while your pulling down on the screw driver the little latch should twist letting the screw driver move through the track and pop out now alowing you to close the trunk and being happy again.
