Question about 1998 Toyota Celica

1 Answer

Non-working rear running & brake lights.

Some of my 98 Celica's rear brake & running lights don't work. I've checked the fuses and none of them are blown and I've tried to replace the bulbs but i can't get to them. How do i fix the problem? How do i get to the bulbs to replace them? Please help asap because I can't afford to get pulled over again and get ticketed for my lights not working.

If the break lights in my 1986 c corvette works but the tail lights do not, what could be the cause

Blown fuse ,bad headlight switch,or wiring issue.
the tail lights have there own fuse and are powered through headlight switch. Do the front running lights come on? If none of them work, switch could be bad if front work and rears dont, check bulbs and power to them when lights are on

1994 Chevy C1500 truck. No rear brake lights

Most likely this is a brake light switch issue. Replace switch.

If your emergency flashers don't work, all flasher bulbs are fine, but flashing too fast, then check and replace Hazard light switch.

Fthe tail light works but the brake light doesn't work, it probably is the module that has a circuit board. I have replaced it 2 or 3 times on my 2004 XL Envoy ... can I get a part number and location...

First let's determine which brake lights are not working. Does the high mounted brake light work? Do both left and right brake light not work? If none of the brake light work, the problem could be the brake light switch at the brake pedal OR fuse #12 in the underhood fuse panel.
If only the bake lights at the corner lamp assembly don't work, check fuse #34 in the rear fuse panel.
The module your are referring to is the circuit board located in each of the corner lamp assemblies, check on website www.compnine.com for the part number of this item. I don't believe this is your problem though.

My 98 ford exsplorer brake lights don't light up, the one on the roof does but the other two don't, I've checked and the bulbs are fine so is the fuse.

Dear,
Please check for either there is a wirring problem.
or might be the bulbs are fuse.
or the fuse for those bulbs are blown off...

kindly check all the aspects and let me know if it does not get solved

thanx

I replaced all rear bulbs and i still have no lights when i hit the brakes

If they work when the turn signals or the hazards are on then you need to replace the brake light switch on the brake pedal bracket. If the lights don,t work on hazards but do with the turn signals, then you have a fuse blown. If none of the above work then you need to check the wiring under the truck box for a bad plug in connection, corrosion or broken wires.
